Ottawa Job of the Day: Volunteer Zombie

The Diefenbunker, Canada's Cold War Museum, is seeking volunteers, young and old, breathing or not, to add "life" to Incident at the Bunker: a Zombie Adventure. In partnership with Haunted Walks Ottawa, the Diefenbunker will host three nights of family-friendly zombie mayhem this Halloween.

Bring your best undead look! A volunteer orientation session will be held on October 13, for Zombie shifts on October 20, 27 and November 3. This session will include: How to Get Lost in the Bunker, Undead Dress Up 101 and Eating Brains for Beginners.

Ottawa Job of the Day: Magician's Assistant

We are looking for a new MAGICIANS ASSISTANT for Illusionist, Michael Bourada.

Michael presents a show which travels all over Eastern Canada each year. He performs illusions where you see people appear, disappear, float in the air, are cut up and much more!

We are looking for a motivated, team first woman who preferably has some stage experience (dance, cheerleading). Now because of the nature of the business, we need someone of specific requirements:

* Must be 115lbs or less
* Must not be taller than 5'5"
* Must be 19 years or older

You will be given the amazing opportunity to perform in beautiful theatres and auditoriums for live audiences. Although its not full time work for the assistant, it will be a job that gives you a secondary source of income all while performing in an amazing show with amazing people.

Ottawa Job of the Day: Director of Communication, Canadian Curling Association

A newly created opportunity has become available at the CCA for the role of Director, Communication & Media Relations. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the CCA and will require a very close working relationship with the Director, Event Operations and the Director, Information Technology, as well as the CCA’s CEO and Senior Management Team. This is a full-time position with the primary focus on directing the overall communications of the organization. The candidate will be responsible for the communication plan and program for the CCA including internal and external communications and related quality assurance. This position will play a significant role in CCA media releases, newsletters, publications, annual report, brochures, and on-line communications. This position will also serve as a primary media contact for the CCA and its portfolio of championship events to help liaise with the local and national media. This position will require business and event-related travel, specifically during selected winter months.
